Group6 isys100 video for blog- sports

Assignment 3 Report

Assignment 3 Report

1. How does the video relate to your blog?

As our blog topic in assignment 2 was “sports”, so we are focus on created our video relating to play different sports.  In the video, our group members are played table tennis, Esport and tennis. This is a good experience for our group to have time play sport together and also learn how to record a video and edit it. And our aim is advertise our blog and increase the audience’s interest on sports after watching our video.

2. The process of creating the video.

Before we start taking the video, we went on YouTube and done lots of research for some examples to get some ideas which are related to sport as our reference. The first step in our process of creating the video was think about ideas of how we were going to create our video text, music, video themes and clips.
Secondly we started to organize the order of how we would create the video and music recording. We set the approximate time of the video, how many shots do we need to take and is there any background music that we can be able to add into the video. We used iPhone to record our video in this assignment. In this step we took lots of different camera angles to find best way to record the video and also record the most clearly sound as possible in the video. One of our team member’s creates sound in their spare time, so they can create some personality music to back the video.  In the video, we record three slip; one in which group members played tennis together and one in which played tennis and one in which interrupts one of our member’s played the Esport. We thought this would make the video more interesting.
Lastly, we used moviemaker to combine our videos and edit. We spent most of time to edit the video because it is the most important part in this video. We added subtitle to make it easier for viewers to more clearly what we doing. We remove all the unwanted part of the video, make each of the video in to the correct order and edit them into one video. We did experience a difficultly when we use the moviemaker because none of us have get in touch with video editing software. But then, we resolved it by searching on Internet. Also we have discuss that which part of the video should keep in our final video and which part should give up, so we can get best final version of our video.

3 The challenges in making the video.

In our group video, we think there are lots of challenges through the start of the video till the end. Similar challenges existed for this video assignment of which we had for blog assignment. Our main issue once again was finding meeting time for everyone to assist in the planning and creation of video. Luckily we find time in weekend to create the video. Also the main challenge of this assignment for our group was editing because all of our group had never used video or music editing software before and it’s difficult to learn and hard to use. So we did lots of research from different type of video editing software and compare each other to find which software will be the best to fit our group video.

Assignment 2 report

ISYS100-Assignment 2
Report

1. Explain why you chose the blog topic.
The reason why we choose sports as our topic is basically that we love sports. In our group, everyone got their own favourite sports; we could gain same benefits from sports. Information about sports on the internet is huge and you can easily gain access to what you need to complete the task. First of all, life lies in movement. Playing sports is like doing exercise that could make people healthy physically and mentally. Another benefit is able to make lots of friends. When we play sports in public or in some clubs, we often meet new friends who have the same hobbies with us. It is interesting and we all enjoy it. We were right for choosing this topic; everything was very straightforward and uncomplicated. Also, everyone enjoys the writing the blog.

2. What were the largest challenges with a team assignment?
A team assignment faced a lot of challenges in terms of longer process, unequal participation, group conflict and limiting creativity. The biggest problem was finding time to actually meet together and discuss the progression and other matters. So the difficulty we meet together increases the potential disadvantage of less time focusing on our topic. We have limited time on our blog and every group member has his or her own assignments for other units. To determine our blog design layout or content on the blog, we were able to discuss on the Wikispaces or Wechat. However, sometimes we work on our own part and may know a few suggestions from others. Everyone has his or her own ideas and it's hard to unify their opinions. In addition, the effiency of our teamwork decreases and we spent more time on our blog. When we start doing making blog, its difficult to manage the team without deciding whether who is doing what.

3. How did you come up with the final design that you used.
Before publish a post on our blog, we search the raw materials in Internet and then open a pages on wikispace to discuss the idea for further useful information that can be posted. Furthermore, we edit and paraphrase the raw content in order to post on blogger. The posts always come up with pictures (always the sports players), on the right side or on the center related to the content and also we create some labels in relation to the content so that others are able to search the relevant posts in blogger. Moreover, we use the reaction function at the bottom of the post for other user to interaction. Also, users are able to leave a comment or share the post to other social media such as google, twitter and facebook. In addition, posts can also be viewed through the blog archive by titles and time sequence on the right side.

4. Compare a blog that has similar content to your self, critically analyse your site comparing theres.
Firstly, the sportsblog has a similar content compare to our blog, (http://www.sportsblog.com). However the sportsblog illustrate a more attractive visual image to gain the audience attention. Secondly, the sportsblog has hyperlink and hypertext that the audience can click on for more information. Thirdly, our blog is mainly focus on introducing sports play all over the world such as Lin Dan from China, while the sportsblog introduces different players and also sports news, the blog also critically analysis players performance, match prediction. Comparing with our blog presenting about spots, the blog has been simply organised to look at easily and reading smoothly. Simply organised structure make the readers understand clearly about what the blog is going to talk about, and some picture and video clips can help to lead further attention to relevant topics. We consider this blog is good model for those who never create the blog and can lead to the further understanding of how they show their abilities and creativities through the blog.

Peter Gade

Peter Gade

Peter Høeg Gade (born December 14, 1976, in Aalborg, Denmark) is a retired Danish professional badminton player. He currently resides in Holte in Copenhagen. He has two children with the former handball player Camilla Høeg.
Gade made his mark in badminton history through his All England Open Badminton Championships singles title in 1999 and his five European Championships crowns in the men's singles event. He topped the world rankings from 1998 to 2001. With his 22 Grand-Prix titles, he has become one of the sport's most successful players. On June 22, 2006, he briefly recaptured the number one spot in the world rankings. This was achieved after winning the Singapore Open and reaching the quarter-final at the Malaysia Open.
With his defeat in the Quarter Finals of the 2012 French Open Gade retired from international competition.
His playing style is known for fast attacks, smooth footwork and constant pressure. His deception is particularly creative for a world badminton player, and he uses a widely recognised and highly successful "trademark shot" . With a plethora of deceptive shots, he has been known to win points from more outrageous attempts, such as the reverse forehand and backhand (using the opposite side of the racket head to the one anticipated, to make contact with the shuttlecock at a radically different angle).

Tennis news: Bernard Tomic tells Tennis Australia ‘I’m ready to play’ Davis Cup

US Open 2015: Bernard Tomic tells Tennis Australia ‘I’m ready to play’ Davis Cup

BERNARD Tomic has declared he’s desperate to play in the Davis Cup and insists Australia needs its best players on the court.
Tomic — who said he had a series of meetings over the next 24 hours — made the remarks after a crushing defeat in round three of the US Open.
Tomic was wiped out of Flushing Meadows in three sets by Frenchman Richard Gasquet — the same player who beat Thanasi Kokkinakis earlier this week.
Gasquet made light work of Tomic, defeating him in 90 minutes.
Australia’s top ranked male player talked up his hopes of joining the Davis Cup team in Glasgow after being suspended from the quarter-final tie following a dramatic spray at Tennis Australia.
“I’m ready to play,” Tomic — who has won 14 Davis Cup matches and only lost two — said.
He said the cup matches were also crucial to building his points base.
“It’s a few matches there where I’d have the opportunity to improve my singles, not only playing Davis Cup. It’s like making the third round at a grand slam. It’s a very important match to win if I get the opportunity to play.”
The remarks came after News Corp Australia revealed Tomic had met with Davis Cup coach Wally Masur this week.
Tomic said that despite being arrested in Miami, he’d also won his third title since then at Bogota in Colombia.

Li Na ---------------a legend story of china tennis

Li Na ----------the proud of china tennis

Li Na is the most successful tennis player of China and almost all the chinese is proud of her.

Outspoken and likeable, the 'late-blooming' Chinese tennis superstar is one of the world's top 10 players. At 29, Li claimed an unprecedented victory at the 2011 French Open, and became the first Asian player to win a Grand Slam singles title.
On January 25, 2014, Li beat Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia (7-6 (7/3), 6-0) to win her first Australian Open Women's Wingles title at Melbourne Park, marking her second Grand Slam title.

Li Na is the only one to reach the Australian open single championship who is  an Asian.
Li said, due to intense training, she couldn't complete the biography exclusively by herself, but she did personally write some parts. Li hopes the book enable the public to know the real Li, and not just the tennis player.

Li's biography recounts all the unforgettable experiences of her tennis career, including her highs, her lows and her heretofore unspoken feelings of bitterness.
Li also recalls her mixed feelings about her parents, the tender love story of how she met her husband Jiang, and her relationships with coaches and the media.

Another strong table tennis player : Fan Zhendong.

This season’s Chinese Super League ended its preliminary stage and the top players who played well individually are Fan Zhendong, Ma Long and Xu Xin. With his impressive winning streak this season, Fan Zhendong gets to be the strongest contender for this season. Meanwhile, the Grand Slam champion Zhang Jike is in his lowest rank.

The Chinese Super League is about to enter the second stage of the competition and the individual rankings are already finalised. Who can be this year’s MVP?

With an undefeated record for the first 15 rounds in the preliminary stage of the league, Fan Zhendong gets the top spot in the individual rankings. As soon as the stage was over, he recorded an impressive 31-win-1-loss record.

With this, he gets to be a strong contender for this season’s Most Valuable Player. Fan Zhendong’s team, Bayi is also in the playoffs. So if they get to win the title, his chances will definitely increase as well. Prior awardees were Zhang Jike and Ma Long.

Second on the rankings is Ma Long of the Ningbo Haitian Team. He completed the preliminary stage with 29 wins and 2 losses. Those two losses were from Fan Zhendong. The third player in the list is Xu Xin with 27 wins and 5 losses. Unfortunately for him, such result didn’t lead the Shanghai Team into the playoffs.

The fourth player is Liang Jingkun of the Shandong Weiqiao Team. He was able to post 23 wins and 9 losses. Weiqiao also sealed a spot in the playoffs. Fifth player is Hao Shuai of the Shandong Team.

As for the Grand Slam champion, Zhang Jike, he sits in the 17th place with 7 wins and 3 losses. This is probably the lowest he has been in the rankings. The reason behind this is his long absence due to injury and his dispute with his team. Fortunately, things got much better recently and he is expected to contribute well in the playoffs for the Shandong Luneng Team.
