Chairman Yao (2)

                         Chairman Yao (2)

Yao Ming was the first pick of overall in 2002 NBA draft. He began his new career with new teammates in Houston, under too much pressure. Yao was not considered to be eligible to stand in NBA at the beginning. Especially the TNT reporter, which is previous NBA super star, Charles Barkley, said in public, that Yao Ming could never score 20 points in one NBA game, if Yao did, he was willing to kiss the ass of neddy. Then the funniest event happened in TNT studio.

Yao became the core of Rockets very quickly and famous among basketball fans internationally. At 2005 NBA All Star voting, Yao relied on 2,558,278 votes which is the best of all to be the most popular player.

I was moved by Yao in the game against Los Angeles Lakers in playoffs. He got injured on the 4th quarter. But he come back court and made a clutch shoot within severe pain.

Chairman Yao (1)

Chairman Yao (1)

Yao Ming is one of the greatest players in Chinese basketball history, even not one of, in my mind, he is the best.
When I reached basketball in 11 years old, I was in love with this sport deeply. But at first, I was playing basketball just for fun, never watched basketball game until one day. That is a big day, for Miami Heat, in 2006. That was the first NBA final champion of Miami Heat. My father was watching live of the sixth game of finals on TV. He was so excited that captured my attention. He is a fan of Shark O’Neal, by the way. I came into his room and watched game 6 with great curiosity with my father. From then on, I became a real basketball fan.

Certainly, the Final MVP of 2006, D-Wade is the first NBA star I have known. But the one I liked first is a Chinese big man which played for Houston Rockets, Yao Ming.
